Who am I?
My name is Janus.
I grew up in Elsinore, Denmark, a place where history is never far away. My interest in the past began with my grandfather, whose love of history shaped my curiosity and gave me a lifelong sense of wonder.
That path led me to study history formally, earning a Master’s degree in History and later an MSc in Museum Studies. I became fascinated not only by the past itself, but by how we choose to present it — how museums and storytellers bring history to life.
Too often, I found that history was either locked in academic language or simplified to the point of losing its truth. I wanted to stand in the middle — to tell real history in a way that speaks to everyone.
That is what my writing is about — opening the door between the world that was and the world we live in, and letting their voices meet.
